CAGI NGO Breakfast - Building Trust in NGOs (04.04.2019)

The Centre d’Accueil de la Genève Internationale (CAGI) is organising a breakfast session for Geneva-based NGOs. The event will take place on Thursday 4 April 2019 from 08:00 to 10:00 at La Pastorale and will be an opportunity to engage with Jérôme Chincarini from Synergix SA and Philippe Tzaud from PwC Switzerland about the implementation of accounting standards and the use of technology as a way to improve transparency and trust.

Philippe Tzaud will present the applicable accounting standards. He will draw particular attention to Swiss GAAP FER 21 and explain the accounting & reporting recommendations and best practices. Philippe Tzaud will also focus on the steps to be audit-ready through an efficient reporting process, for greater accountability.

Jérôme Chincarini will show that the right use of technology combined with a relevant data structure can be a major key success factor for NGO’s. Because NGO’s often struggle to get data to follow up on budget, grant or cost dimensions, Jérôme Chincarini will rely on a proper dashboard demo to show how internal efficiency can lead to better transparency, resulting in greater trust.
